Tomorrow's people focused on recruitment and retention against the background of recent drivers for change in local authorities' current and future workforce including an increased focus on efficiency, new demographic trends and changes in council’s roles. The study therefore focused on how local government, working with its partners, could use recruitment and retention practices to ensure a workforce that is fit for the future.
