Proposed 2012/13 scales of fees for new police bodies

The consultation closes on Monday 5 March 2012 and you can now review the proposed 2012/13 scales of fees for new police bodies correspondence we have sent out to interested parties.

5 September 2011
The Audit Commission is consulting on its 2012/13 proposed work programme and scales of fees.
Separate documents cover the Commission's work at local government and community safety bodies, health bodies and small bodies subject to limited assurance audit.
We have sent the consultation to police authorities for information, and expect to consult separately in 2012 on the work programme and fees for police bodies in England.
The Commission is currently undertaking an exercise to outsource the work of its in-house audit practice, following the announcement in August 2010 of the abolition of the Commission. A separate procurement is being undertaken for new contracts for the audits of all small bodies. The procurement timetable is for all new auditor appointments to be in place by 1 September 2012, for the 2012/13 audit year.
We will publish the final work programme and scales of fees for 2012/13 in April 2012, when the outcome of the outsourcing is known.
