Individual certification fees
Indicative fees for certification of all schemes and claims for 2013/14 for individual bodies are listed below.
The indicative fees for 2013/14 for individual bodies are based on final 2011/12 certification fees. The 2013/14 indicative fees therefore reflect the latest complete information on the amount of work required by the auditor to certify the claims and returns for each body. Fees for schemes no longer requiring certification have been removed. The indicative fees for individual bodies may be higher or lower than the proposed fees set out in our consultation on the work programme and scale of fees for 2013/14, because they are now based on confirmed information from auditors on their completed certification work for 2011/12.
It is possible that actual certification fees for 2013/14 may be higher or lower than the indicative fees listed below, because the auditor finds it is necessary to undertake more or less work than in 2011/12 on individual claims or returns. For example, council tax benefit will not be included in claims from local authorities to the Department of Work and Pensions for housing benefit subsidy from 2013/14, and this should mean there is a reduction in the amount of audit work needed to certify those claims.
Auditors must seek the agreement of the Commission to any proposed variations to indicative certification fees. We expect variations from the indicative fee to occur only where issues arise that are significantly different from those identified and reflected in the 2011/12 fee.
