Equality impact assessment
Promoting equality and positive attitudes to, and good relations between, different groups is an important aim of CAA. We will keep our proposals under review throughout to make sure they support this aim. At key stages, we will publish an Equalities Impact Assessment (EIA) setting out how CAA is addressing inequality.
A strong focus on equality and diversity encourages the continual improvement in public services and ensures that they meet the changing needs of diverse communities and provide fair access for all.
For public services to improve they need good quality and timely information about their performance. This is fundamental to their ability to understand and remove inequality. Stimulating significant improvement in the quality of data and the use of information by decision makers is highly significant to improving performance on equality and diversity.
