The Freedom of Information Act general right of access commenced on 1 Janaury 2005. Those wishing to make a request for information (RFI) under that Act need to do so in writing.

To help you do this, the Audit Commission has developed an on-line form which can be completed on this website. Once submitted it will be automatically submitted to our Information request logging and monitoring system.

Where possible we will provide all information requested however, due to the legislation under which we operate this may not always be possible.

The Audit Commission will, as far as is reasonable and possible, provide applicants and potential applicants with advice and assistance in making their requests for information.
