Tuesday 16 December 2008: District CPA re-categorisation reports published
CPA re-categorisation reports for 3 local authorities have been published:
CPA results have been updated to take into account the results of these corporate assessments. The overall rating for Corby Borough Council has increased from 'Weak' to 'Good', Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council has increased from 'Fair' to 'Excellent' and Malvern Hills District Council has increased from 'Fair' to 'Excellent'.
Tuesday 16 December 2008: Corporate assessment reports published and update of CPA categories for single tier and county councils
Corporate assessment reports have been published for 2 ST&CC local authorities:
CPA results have been updated to take into account the results of these corporate assessments.
Wednesday 3 December 2008: Updated Performance Indicator (PI) Profiles released
Updated PI Profiles have today been made available to provide information appropriate to CA and DoT work. This will contain:
- Best Value Performance Indicator (BVPI) data - final 2007/08 data
- Non-BVPI data - draft 2007/08 data
Following the first release (in September 2008) summary information included in the profile (i.e. extent of improvement and percentage of PIs in the top quartile) is likely to have changed significantly. This is due to the inclusion of final BVPI data and more recent non-BVPI data in the second version.
Please refer to the 'latest news' page when you log into your profile for details of the data held in the profile and which has been used; there is also a frequently asked questions section on the site.
Councils have been issued with a username and password to access the PI Profiles.

Tuesday 11 November 2008: District CPA re-categorisation reports published
CPA re-categorisation reports for 4 local authorities have been published:
CPA results have been updated to take into account the results of these corporate assessments. The overall rating for Erewash Borough Council has increased from 'Weak' to 'Fair', Gedling Borough Council has remained 'Good', Harrogate Borough Council has increased from 'Fair' to 'Good' and Torridge District Council has increased from 'Poor' to 'Good'.
Tuesday 7 October 2008: District CPA re-categorisation reports published
CPA re-categorisation reports for 2 local authorities have been published:
CPA results have been updated to take into account the results of these corporate assessments. The overall rating for Chorley Borough Council has increased from 'Fair' to 'Excellent' and Rochford District Council has increased from 'Weak' to 'Good'.
Tuesday 30 September 2008: Fire and rescue services CPA reports published
CPA reports for one local authority has been published:
The overall rating for Bedfordshire and Luton has increased from 'Weak' to 'Fair'.
