Performance monitoring visits to pathfinders followed the award of funding. This initially involved visits to each pathfinder every six months to monitor the quality of ongoing pathfinder programme delivery, rather than proposals for the future.
By 2007, visits were annual. We also reviewed progress against recommendations made in Strategic Reviews and Scrutiny Assessments. Findings were made available to pathfinders and CLG, and reports published by the Commission between 2005/06 and 2009/10. The Performance Review reports found in this section generally follow the same themes as the Strategic Reviews and Scrutiny Assessments, but may look at a particular theme or area in more detail.
