Previous rounds of performance review have considered each pathfinder’s record at a strategic level in developing and delivering its programme across the pathfinder area. Following Transform South Yorkshires (TSY) scheme update submission to ODPM for funding from 2006/08 and the Audit Commission’s Strategic Review of those proposals, published in March 2006, a Performance Review visit was undertaken in Southey Owlerton, Sheffield in March 2006.
This Performance Review now seeks to understand in more detail the development and implementation of plans in another part of the pathfinder area - the Barnsley Dearne - and to consider the pathfinder's progress in meeting the requirements of recommendations made in the Strategic Review report.
