On a scale from zero to three stars the Audit Commission inspection team gave the service a ‘good’, two-star rating. This was because the Council has already secured improvements in the quality of life for local people through physical and environmental regeneration, skills programmes and attracting new business into the area. It works well with other organisations and is preparing well for further major regeneration.
