This report outlines the findings from the joint inspectorate Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) trial programme conducted between June and October 2008.
The purpose of the trials was to test our proposed approach to CAA and help us develop the operational arrangements that will underpin it. The proposals on which these trials were based were set out in Comprehensive Area Assessment, Joint Inspectorate Proposals for Consultation – Summer 2008. This evaluation report on the trials assumes familiarity with those proposals.
