Following consultation with voluntary organisations and feedback from interested parties, the Council has started publishing a single page summary of its accounts for a general audience. The statement of accounts for 2004/05 was summarised onto one page that is easy to understand and meaningful to someone from a non-financial background. The summary was created internally by the accounts team with a minimal demand on staff time. Comment on presentation has been invited via the website.
