Data submissions

The secure electronic upload facility should be used to submit the password protected data direct from local computers. This facility is contained within the existing secure NFI web application. This connection provides 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption and enables password protection. Before downloading data you should refer to our data download instructions.

This is now the only acceptable method of data submission for NFI data. If any other method of submission is used, our policy will be to inform Director’s of Finance that data has been put at unnecessary risk.

Password protection

As part of our ongoing commitment to keep your data secure, in line with good practice when handling personal data, you are required to password protect each dataset once extracted from the relevant systems. If required refer to our guidance showing how to password protect data.
