These examples are not exhaustive or definitive of the electoral wards to which they relate. The examples are based upon analyses that should be useful to local agencies when compiling local profiles.
Each of the example profiles has the following section structure:
- a summary of the neighbourhood's geodemographic composition;
- an analysis of incident data and an assessment of risk by household type;
- an analysis of residents' concerns;
- an analysis of value for money (VFM) arising from community safety related activity and the associated use of resources;
- bench marks for comparing VFM between neighbourhoods; and
- a list of the data sources and references used to compile the profile.
Constraints
The examples provided here are not exhaustive or definitive of the electoral wards to which they relate. The examples include analyses that local agencies may consider for use during local neighbourhood profiling.
The examples summarise descriptions of two electoral wards from each of five CDRP areas. The choice of wards was made in each instance by the council and the police. The setting for each CDRP area is different, and the findings described for each pair of wards are not exhaustive or representative of the whole CDRP.
