Briefing on data quality in the NHS

This briefing builds on the findings of our work on the Payment by Results data assurance framework and reviews the results of current data quality programmes. It also assesses how NHS trust and foundation trust boards assure themselves about the quality of their data. The research was carried out as part of our national study of how boards get their assurance which we plan to publish in April 2009.
