'Forget me not' is concerned with the services providing care to people with mental health problems over the age of 65. The two largest groups are those with dementia and those with depression.
Care for people under 65 with dementia is also included here, as it usually falls within the remit of these services.
The report covers services provided by NHS trusts, health authorities and social services departments, including some of the residential and nursing home care that they purchase. It does not address in detail the circumstances of those who are not in touch with specialist services.
