Protecting the public purse

Twitter

The Audit Commission’s Twitter account, @ACgov (external link), is managed by our press office for colleagues across the organisation.

Our tweets

We will tweet about new studies, reports or briefings we publish. We will also highlight our news releases and any statements we make.

We check our @ACgov account on weekdays during office hours.

Followers

By following @ACgov you will be among the first to learn about new Audit Commission announcements and information.

Being followed by the Audit Commission does not imply endorsement of any kind.

Twitter is occasionally unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service because of Twitter downtime.

@ messages and direct messages

Twitter’s 140 character limit makes it difficult to give full and useful replies to questions. Enquiries about the Commission or its work should instead be made by post, email, telephone or fax.

We do however read all @ messages and direct messages and will reply to them if we can.

We will share any feedback you give us with appropriate colleagues in the Commission. If we don’t reply to you directly, please rest assured that we are still listening to you.

Media enquiries

Journalists should contact our press office directly.
